Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about using Electronic Parts Market. Can't find what you need? Ask us at the bottom of this page.

Electronic Parts Market is a global business-to-business (B2B) marketplace for electronic components. Manufacturers, authorized distributors, wholesalers, factories, EMS providers and brokers use it to list stock and to post requests for quote (RFQs), and buyers worldwide use it to source parts.

The whole order can be managed in one place, from the first quote to the proforma invoice, payment tracking and delivery.

The platform is for businesses only. It is not intended for consumers buying for personal use.

Anyone can browse, but to post an RFQ, submit a quote or list stock, your user account must be associated with a registered company. Company registrations are reviewed and approved by our team.

Click Register at the top of any page and create a user account with your email address and a password. Then add your company details: legal name, business type, country and, where applicable, tax or registration identifiers.

Our team reviews the company information before your company can trade on the platform. Signing in with Google is coming soon.

Yes. Creating an account and using the core marketplace (searching parts, posting RFQs, sending quotes and listing stock) is free.

Suppliers pay a commission on completed sales, and VIP Membership is an optional paid plan for companies that want hands-on help from our team. Both are explained further down this page.

Log in, open RFQ in the menu and create a new request with the part number, quantity and your requirements. An RFQ can contain several line items, and you can also import a bill of materials (BOM) from an Excel file instead of typing each line.

Suppliers then send you quotes, which you can compare and accept line by line.

By default an RFQ is visible to all registered members, so as many suppliers as possible can quote on it, unless your company restricts its visibility.

No. As a buyer, your company identity stays confidential to suppliers. Suppliers quoting on an RFQ can see competing offers only in anonymized form, without knowing who submitted them.

Use Offer in the menu to list the components you have in stock. Listings are linked to a shared product catalog so buyers can find them through search.

You can also send quotes on open RFQs, including a quote that covers only some of the requested line items.

When a supplier enters pricing for a quote, a downloadable Proforma Invoice (PI) can be generated. The PI reflects the quoted terms; it is not yet an order confirmation.

An order becomes binding once both the buyer and the supplier have confirmed the commercial terms (price, quantity, delivery and payment terms) through the order workflow: PI issuance and, where applicable, Commercial Invoice (CI) issuance.

Yes. After you receive a quote, you can open a second negotiation round with your target price and preferred shipping method, and request a final PI. The supplier then confirms or declines it.

You can accept quoted line items from more than one supplier. A separate order is created for each supplier, and each order follows its own steps: PI, CI, payment, preparation, dispatch, delivery and completion.

There is no escrow. The platform does not hold, process or guarantee payments between buyers and suppliers. Buyer and supplier arrange payment directly with each other, usually by bank transfer.

Inside each order both parties can record payment amounts and confirm receipt, so everyone can see the status. These records are entered by the users themselves and are not verified by us.

Always check a counterparty before sending money, and confirm bank details through an independent channel. We will never ask you to pay into an account other than one your counterparty has provided and you have independently verified.

Completed sales are subject to a commission, currently 5% of the order value, paid by the supplier. VIP Membership and VIP services are optional and priced separately.

All fees are in US Dollars (USD) and exclude taxes, duties and bank charges. Outstanding fees are shown in your account, and unpaid fees past their due date can lead to account suspension.

VIP Membership is an optional paid plan for companies: USD 500 per month, billed in advance each month and renewed automatically until cancelled. It belongs to the company, so all users of that company can use it.

VIP members can ask our team for hands-on help: sample requests, supplier analysis, testing and certification, consolidation and shipping, and a payment intermediary service. Each service request is tracked separately and may have its own fee, which is shown when you request it.

Membership and service fees are paid by bank transfer with a reference code and confirmed manually by our staff.

This is an optional VIP service for a specific order. When you request it and we agree to provide it, we receive the payment from the buyer and pass it on to the supplier, less applicable fees, for that order only.

A commission, currently 5% of the amount handled, applies in addition to the standard sales commission. For all other orders, payments stay directly between buyer and supplier, with no escrow.

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time by writing to [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month, and your VIP access continues until then.

Fees already paid for the current month are non-refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Our team reviews company information and may mark a company as unverified or verified, or flag it as blacklisted or fraudulent.

A verified badge means we reviewed that company's information at a certain point in time. It is not a guarantee of the company's ongoing legitimacy or performance, so please still do your own checks before paying or shipping.

After an order is completed, the companies involved can rate and review each other. Ratings must reflect a real transaction; fake, traded or manipulated ratings are not allowed.
